Bullet Journal Supplies

I love planners but I'm yet to find one that works for me properly. I swapped from a normal diary, to a A6 planner, to a A5 planner, and then back to a normal diary again, an still wasn't super keen on every aspect of all of them. Bits worked for me and bits didn't. I even tried personalised my planner a bit more with things like washi tape and stickers, but still wasn't totally happy.

I decided to finally give bullet journaling a go after watching a video on Buzzfeed and realising it doesn't need to be super complicated and over-the-top, it just needs to be what works for you.

Obviously, any excuse, I went out and bought some lovely new supplies for my bullet journaling journey.

I ended up covering my journal in sticky tape to keep the stickers on, as some of them kept peeling off when I opened it. I think it's because the cover is textured, so maybe not the best sticking surface.

I started using my journal at the start of May and I love it. I love that I can just draw the pages exactly the way I want them to be, and my diary isn't full of loads of pre-printed pages that I'll never use. I drew up my whole month at the start of May, and I think I'll go with that method going forward. That way I can get everything organised for the month and I'm not having to worry about weekly spreads or anything.

It's also cool that you can just change your spread every month, if something doesn't work for you, and I love that.

Hopefully I've finally found the perfect planner system!

Lemon Drop Baby Booties

I'm never one to pass up an occasion to craft something for a baby, there are just so many cute options out there.

One of my mum's friend's daughters was due to have a baby, and I picked her up a couple of cute bits and decided to stick a little handmade gift in with them.

I picked these super cute Lemon Drop Baby Booties by Hopeful Honey because they were so cute and looked quite easy.

The size is 0-6 months, but I tried them on Ivy when I made them and they actually fit her, so my gauge might be a little off. I have already been sent photos of the new baby wearing them though, so clearly they're too cute for anyone to care about the size!

If you're looking for a pressie to make a baby, these are great. I found the toe part of the shoe a bit fiddly, and maybe took me a couple of attempts to get it right, but I got there in the end!
